The Future Polymers and Materials Research Group (FPM) focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced polymeric materials with multifunctional applications in energy and environmental technologies. Our research integrates fundamental polymer chemistry with applied material science to develop next-generation catalysts, adsorbents, and membranes.
Current studies address critical global challenges such as sustainable hydrogen production, carbon dioxide capture, volatile organic compound (VOC) filtration, dye removal from water, and the valorization of biomass waste into high-performance materials. FPM also emphasizes the transformation of renewable resources like cellulose and lignin into innovative, eco-friendly materials that contribute to a cleaner and more efficient future.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and cutting-edge research infrastructure, FPM aims to advance polymer science toward sustainability and technological innovation — bridging the gap between environmental needs and material solutions.
